Live wedding illustration at Blackhouse Rosie Estate in Fife

This past year, I had the absolute pleasure of bringing my art to life at a beautiful summer wedding at Backhouse Rossie Estate in Fife.

As a live wedding sketcher, my mission is to bring a timeless, artistic touch. This wedding was a perfect summer day amidst the vibrant gardens and historic charm of the estate.

Backhouse Rossie is a gem nestled in the heart of Fife, known for its stunning walled garden, historic house, and picturesque surroundings. The estate provided a perfect backdrop for the couple’s special day, with its lush landscapes and elegant ambiance setting the stage for a celebration.

As the guests mingled and enjoyed the reception , I set up my easel in a shaded corner of the garden. The sun was shining, and a gentle breeze carried the laughter and joy of the day.

Armed with just some paper and pencils, I invited guests to come sit for a sketch from poses .

Throughout the day, guests would occasionally peek over my shoulder, curious and delighted to see the sketches come to life. Some even posed for quick portraits from photos , which I could make happen whilst they were eating dinner . I got to share my art with such wonderful people.

By the end of the evening, I had a collection of sketches that guests could take home as a memory. Hand-drawn pieces that will serve as a wedding memento.

Being a live wedding sketcher allows me to blend my love for art with the joy of weddings.

It’s an honor to be part of someone’s special day, and this weekend’s wedding was truly a highlight of my summer. Thank you to the lovely couple for inviting me into their world, and to the guests for their patience and enthusiasm. Here’s to many more weddings filled with love, laughter, and timeless sketches!
